Information for Parents

Here at Blossoms we want our parents to feel as much a part of the nursery as the children and this includes giving you all the information you might need.

Meal times

An extremely important part of nursery life is food. At Blossoms Day Nursery we aim to give children a balanced diet and encourage them to see eating as sociable, healthy and fun.

We encourage conversation at all meal times as well as good table manners.

Our menus are planned in advance with a caterer and as far as we can we will cater for special diets. We do not use salt in our cooking and try to use sugar sparingly. We also try to reflect the children’s multi-cultural backgrounds and individual needs in our menus. All our menus contain a high proportion of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Breakfast is available to children who arrive before 8:45am. We also have a mid-morning and mid-afternoon drink and snack.

Fees

Please contact the nursery for details of our latest fees. We provide full and part-time daycare. We very much wish to cater for the needs of our parents and remain flexible with sessions. Fees are due in advance and for the duration of any holidays.

Childcare vouchers

Blossoms Day Nursery accepts childcare vouchers and so assisting in reducing childcare costs for parents/carers. The voucher is a salary sacrifice scheme operated by employers that provides a saving in tax and National Insurance We are registered with various providers - for more information please contact us.

Free early learning for three and four year old's

All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free early education for 38 weeks of the year.  However, to make this flexible for parents we will be offering 11.18 hours of funding per week over 51 weeks of the year. This means that you will receive funding every month. However, we understand that working parents require childcare for longer periods of time per day. Therefore, we can continue to offer you your entitled free early education plus the additional hours you do.
