Little Pandas - for the littlest people

We specialise in giving the smallest babies through to 2 years a great start in developing their confidence and social skills.

LITTLE PANDAS

Little Pandas - Caters for children up to 2 years old with two qualified members of staff, one of whom is the room leader.

The staff ratio is 1:3. Little Pandas, with their dedicated staff are equipped with toys and activities to meet our younger members needs. We introduce and encourage the participation in all tactile play with corn flour, water, sand and other various materials.

An area of the playroom is decorated in black and white as babies respond best to bold contrasting colours. These colours captivate and hold babies attention, encouraging visual and physical activity.

Activities can include painting, not only with brushes but also using fingers, toes or sponge shapes. We often use 'gloop' which is a harmless combination of water and cornflour but is interesting to touch. The babies also have fun with our ball pool, our treasure basket and water tray. There are a wide variety of activities on offer and we aim to expose the children to as many as we can to aid the learning process.

People often think that ICT can only be for older children but this should be part of every day. Equipment with functioning buttons such as a digital camera, battery operated toys and a music mat is available for the children in Little Pandas in order to support this area of development.

Each child will be offered a communication book that goes home daily. The book has information about your child's day including activities, sleep, food and nappies. it also includes information about your child's progression and personal achievement. We welcome you to add your notes/feedback for staff.
